Senior Automation Test Engineer | Wroclaw

The position is within the Asset Management Technology team, focusing on quality, reliability, and performance of critical investment management applications within financial services and enterprise environments.

Mandatory:

• 6+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
• Strong experience in both functional testing and test automation.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
• Strong programming skills in C#.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques.
• Strong SQL/database testing skills, including the ability to write complex queries for data validation.
• Experience testing web-based applications and complex business workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of the full software development and testing lifecycle.

Preferred:

• Experience with API testing, using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar ALM/test management tools.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience working with financial services, investment management, asset management, or other complex enterprise applications.

• Perform end-to-end functional and automation testing of web-based applications.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress with C#.
• Design and maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Validate application functionality, business workflows, data integrity, and system behaviour.
• Perform backend and database validation using SQL queries.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure appropriate test coverage for new features, enhancements, and existing functionality.
• Execute regression, integration, system, functional, and UAT testing.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing strategies, and QA processes.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve testing efficiency.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
