Senior Tech QA Analyst

CD PROJEKT RED is a company dedicated to creating revolutionary, story-driven RPGs. This role is within their team working on Cyberpunk 2, the next mainline Cyberpunk 2077 game.

• 5+ years of professional QA experience within game development, particularly in Technical QA or comparable technical testing roles.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, bug workflows, test planning, risk-based testing, test coverage, technical QA practices, and quality reporting.
• Strong understanding of game development lifecycles and experience developing and executing testing strategies covering integration, stress, performance, stability, tools, engine, platform, and technical feature validation.
• Experience developing and executing testing strategies for development tools, editors, content pipelines, build systems, and other technical workflows.
• Experience with game engines and editors, preferably Unreal Engine.
• Experience using QA metrics, KPIs, defect trends, and technical data to identify quality risks and inform testing priorities.
• Experience with performance analysis, profiling tools, crash analysis, memory investigations, platform-specific testing, or console development environments.
• Experience with Unreal Insights, engine profiling, crash debugging, or comparable technical investigation tools.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate complex technical issues and collaborate with developers on reproductions, impact, risk, and root causes.
• Experience partnering with QA Engineering, Automation, Development, or Tech teams to identify automation and testing tooling opportunities and develop scalable validation solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to clearly communicate technical quality status, risks, blockers, priorities, and recommendations.
• Experience driving improvements to QA workflows, reporting models, dashboards, technical metrics, or test management processes.
• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to other QA professionals.
• Strong ownership, accountability, emotional maturity, and ability to operate effectively under pressure, ambiguity, and changing priorities.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on AAA titles.
• Experience with programming or scripting, preferably C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with automation frameworks, automated test authorship, build verification, CI/CD pipelines, or technical validation workflows.
• Experience designing or improving technical QA tooling, telemetry, dashboards, or automated reporting.
• Experience partnering with engine, rendering, tools, platform, performance, or build/infrastructure engineering teams.
• Interest in The Cyberpunk universe and passion for delivering high-quality player experiences in large scale RPGs.

• Take ownership of complex technical QA initiatives, testing areas, or quality problems from initial assessment through validation, reporting, and resolution.
• Translate the Cyberpunk 2 QA strategy into practical technical testing approaches, coverage, measurable outcomes, and priorities within your areas of ownership.
• Plan and execute technical testing and milestone verification to meet quality objectives on time.
• Assess technical changes, systems, and features to identify risk, determine coverage, and focus testing efforts.
• Analyze technical quality metrics, KPIs, defect trends, crashes, performance data, and other signals to identify risks and recommend mitigation.
• Lead or support complex technical investigations involving crashes, performance, stability, memory, engine behavior, tools, platforms, integrations, and development pipelines.
• Collaborate with Development, Production, Tech, QA, and external QA partners to align on technical quality expectations, validation requirements, risks, and outcomes.
• Establish clear quality expectations, challenge insufficient coverage or unacceptable risk, and help development partners make informed quality decisions.
• Produce clear, data-informed reporting on technical quality status, blockers, risks, testing outcomes, and readiness.
• Identify and drive improvements to QA workflows, tools, testing frameworks, technical documentation, dashboards, metrics, and validation practices.
• Provide technical knowledge, review testing approaches, give feedback, and mentor less experienced QA team members.
• Act as a senior QA partner for complex technical problems requiring coordination across multiple teams, disciplines, systems, or locations.

Office-First position, working primarily from the Warsaw studio in full-time or hybrid mode. Relocation to Warsaw is required.
