AI Tech Lead

The project focuses on building and validating a Google Cloud-based data platform for HSBC Surveillance, specifically for the Unauthorised Trading (UT) use case and selected Market Abuse scenarios. The team designs and implements Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, ingestion and transformation pipelines, data quality controls, and analysis-ready datasets. The role involves data platform engineering, cloud architecture, and migration feasibility for surveillance data within the financial markets domain.

• Expertise in Enterprise Data Architecture
• Experience with Data Lakehouse architecture using Bronze / Silver / Gold data patterns
• Proven skills in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture design
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
• Experience in financial markets and surveillance domains
• Knowledge of integration architecture and data lineage
• Familiarity with security and IAM concepts on GCP

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Market Abuse and Unauthorised Trading surveillance
• Awareness of Vertex AI and ML platform technologies
• Experience with regulatory reporting or compliance requirements

• Design and implement Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Lakehouse architecture with Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
• Architect GCP solutions including BigQuery, Dataflow / Apache Beam, Kubernetes (GKE), and Terraform CI/CD tooling
• Develop data modeling at conceptual, logical, and physical levels
• Establish data governance and data quality frameworks
• Define integration architecture and data lineage
• Assess migration feasibility of Java-based MARS components to GCP with Kubernetes
