IT Project Manager

Avenga is engaged in a strategic transformational program to build a modern ecosystem for claims and benefits handling in the insurance industry in Poland. The project includes development of core systems, integrations, a Cloud Data Platform, AI solutions, and a modern event-driven architecture. The hired person will manage a multidisciplinary team including security analysts, infrastructure architects, DevOps engineers, test coordinators, and deployment managers.

• Minimum 8 years of experience managing complex long-term IT projects as a Project Manager.
• Full lifecycle IT project management experience from discovery, planning, execution, deployment, to maintenance.
• Practical experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, and MS Project.
• Skillful in risk, dependency, and budget management for technology projects.
• Strong sense of responsibility and perseverance in achieving goals.
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Certified in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile).

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Experience managing transformational projects.

• Coordinate the ICT stream covering infrastructure, environments, security, performance, testing, and deployments.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team including test managers, release managers, DevOps, infrastructure architects, security, and performance experts.
• Coordinate preparation and development of development, integration, testing, and production environments.
• Coordinate acceptance, performance, and security testing execution.
• Responsible for preparation and execution of production deployments.
• Prepare and hand over new systems to maintenance.
• Plan and monitor progress; manage risks, budget, and schedules.

The position requires working in a hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Warsaw office and 2 days remote.
