Python Test Engineer for Financial Processing Platform

The position involves ensuring quality and enhancing a financial processing platform that manages transactions. The platform is linked to financial processing, payments, revenue sharing, and related financial rules. The role is in the transportation/logistics industry and based in Warsaw, Poland.

• Strong Python skills.
• Basic SQL skills.
• Experience with manual and automated testing, including integration and end-to-end testing.
• General understanding of data processing, cloud computing, system integrations, interfaces, APIs, CI/CD, Git, and SDLC.
• Ability to independently investigate and identify testing needs within unfamiliar systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and adaptable to new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with Databricks.
• Experience in financial processing.

• Investigate the financial processing engine, user interface (UI), integrations, and dependencies to identify testing gaps.
• Design and implement automated tests covering transactions, payments, revenue sharing, accruals, refunds, cancellations, subscriptions, and financial rules.
• Test internal and external sales/payment-channel integrations.
• Test the analyst-facing UI and its integration with the backend processing engine.
• Address edge cases such as data correctness, retries, duplicate processing, partial failures, and recovery measures.
• Integrate appropriate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
