Senior QA Tester

gog.com is a company operating in the itProductService industry, established in 2008, with 51 to 200 employees. The company focuses on game preservation and aims to impact the gaming industry by developing games, launcher integrations, and internal tools.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in software/game testing with a proactive and analytical mindset.
• Ability to independently handle complex testing tasks and project risks.
• Deep expertise in testing across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication and leadership skills.
• Solid understanding of hardware/software setups, DRM, emulation tools like DOSBox and ScummVM, and game build automation tools.
• Knowledge of Game QA best practices and methodologies.
• Interest in automation and AI tools to improve testing efficiency.

Nice to have / Willingness to Learn:

• Experience with JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems.
• Basic understanding of command-line prompts and JSON file structures.
• Basic programming skills or learning motivation, e.g., in Python, to assist tool engineers.

Core QA Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive functional testing across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Support and prepare game builds on all supported platforms.
• Take ownership of key testing projects including multiplayer tests and platform integrations.
• Log bugs in JIRA, verify fixes, and prepare detailed post-test reports.
• Research game-related risks to minimize negative community reception.
• Manage and test features like cloud saves and platform overlays.
• Set up and maintain testing environments and hardware configurations.

Leadership & Process Improvement:

• Lead workflow and automation improvements and implement new testing solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and act as stand-in for Team Leader/Coordinator when needed.
• Manage deadlines to ensure testing milestones are met.
