EMIR / MiFIR Transformation Business Analyst

The role is offered by G MASS, partnering with a Regulatory Reporting Consultancy to build transformation and implementation expertise for institutional clients like banks and financial institutions.

• Hands-on business analysis experience in regulatory reporting within financial services or related platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of EMIR and MiFIR reporting requirements and practical implementation.
• Demonstrated expertise in data mapping across source systems to specifications.
• Experience with large, complex system implementations or migrations in order management, trading, risk, or similar platforms.
• Combined business analysis and project management skills, able to manage detailed data tasks and engagement schedules.
• Strong data analysis skills to interpret fragmented data estates and communicate conclusions.
• Confident client-facing skills to interact with senior institutional stakeholders.
• Broader European regulatory reporting experience is advantageous.
• Based within a European time zone with fluent written and spoken English.

• Act as the business analyst and project lead on implementation engagements, collaborating with client teams.
• Establish and document each client’s reporting obligations and current EMIR and MiFIR reporting arrangements.
• Analyze client data from multiple source systems, tracing reportable attributes and data flows.
• Map client data landscape to reporting specifications, identifying gaps and ambiguous attributes.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical data requirements based on industry operations.
• Plan and drive the engagement, managing progress, dependencies, and schedules.
• Identify data quality or availability issues affecting reporting accuracy and define solutions.
• Lead working sessions with client stakeholders across operations, technology, and compliance.
• Produce mapping documentation, business requirements, and supporting analyses for clients and internal use.
• Support testing and validation of reporting outputs prior to client go-live.
• Help shape analysis direction with scope to lead or co-lead the engagement.
