Solution Architect - Digital Platform | Banking

Upvanta is searching for a Solution Architect responsible for designing technological solutions for a complex digital platform in the financial/banking sector. The role involves working in an enterprise and highly regulated environment, with a controlled and documented SDLC process. The architect will influence platform architecture and technological direction.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, system architecture, and/or solution design
• Experience designing complex enterprise solutions
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, integration, and integration patterns
• Practical experience with .NET, C#, Azure, SQL Server or similar enterprise environments
• Knowledge of messaging and system integration technologies, e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka or similar
• Experience working with microservices / distributed systems
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience collaborating with and technically leading development teams
• Strong communication skills including with non-technical stakeholders
• Analytical approach and ability to solve complex problems

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking, finance, or other regulated environments
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe / IBM Integration Bus
• Experience with cloud architecture and hybrid environments
• Knowledge of regulated SDLC processes
• Experience in migration projects from on-premise to cloud / architecture modernization

• Design and develop architecture for complex software solutions
• Analyze business needs, new features, and client and regulatory requirements
• Translate requirements into solution design, technical architecture, and estimations
• Ensure new solutions integrate well within the existing complex ecosystem
• Design integrations between multiple systems and applications
• Collaborate with development teams and support them during implementation
• Make and recommend technology decisions
• Identify technical risks, performance, and scalability issues and propose solutions
• Prepare and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and project documents
• Cooperate with clients, Project Managers, Business Analysts, developers, and other stakeholders
• Architecturally lead several initiatives simultaneously at different stages of implementation

Location: Poland - remote work with 2 visits per year to offices in Wrocław or Kraków for onboarding, client visits, or important workshops
