Wymagania

  • Strong knowledge of core SRE principles and distinction between reactive operations and proactive reliability engineering.
  • Leadership experience managing a team of 10 or more engineers and technical leads in SRE or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills analyzing complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to align viewpoints and influence stakeholders.
  • Typically requires 10–12 years of related experience with Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Foundational background in software engineering with experience building business applications using Go, Python, or Java.
  • High emotional intelligence and proven ability to manage diverse engineering teams.
  • Experience implementing SRE principles including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and blameless postmortems.
  • Experience managing major incidents as Incident Commander.
  • Expertise in building and running scalable infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitOps principles.
  • Experience leading teams building microservices with frameworks like Spring Framework and React.
  • Experience using observability and APM tools, preferably Datadog.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions.
  • People management experience with Workday and managing workstreams using tools like JIRA Service Management and AHA.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, role-based access control, and vulnerability management.

Nice to have:

  • AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD).
  • Familiarity with Guidewire's InsuranceSuite product suite or Guidewire Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire-specific technologies such as Gosu.
  • Interest or experience with Kubevela and application of agentic AI/LLMs to SRE.
  • Experience with enterprise tools like Coupa, Concur, and Salesforce.

Obowiązki

  • Manage and mentor a team of 10 to 17 SRE professionals including senior individual contributors and technical leads.
  • Set operational goals and guide the team in SRE best practices like observability, reliability engineering, and Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs).
  • Translate company strategy into clear department goals impacting the EMEA SRE group.
  • Lead strategy for cross-functional projects and solve complex reliability problems.
  • Oversee regional incident management and act as escalation point ensuring blameless postmortems.
  • Collaborate with management across departments to align stakeholders.
  • Manage department resources and schedules to meet business goals.
  • Promote automation to reduce manual work and improve engineering efficiency.
