Senior Backend Engineer

We build INFRAPORT which is a data-driven SaaS platform for water utilities worldwide. Our solutions help reduce water loss through leak detection and measurement technologies, combining IoT data, geospatial systems (maps), and advanced analytics.

• 5+ years of commercial experience in backend software development.
• Excellent knowledge of the latest PHP versions (8.x) and the modern Symfony (versions 7+) ecosystem.
• Strong command of design patterns, SOLID, DRY, KISS principles, Clean Code approach, and TDD (Test-Driven Development).
• Experience working in a product team delivering tasks within the Kanban methodology using Jira.
• Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL environments.
• Practical experience with microservices-based architecture.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or pub/sub systems (knowledge of NATS is a plus).
• Everyday work with Docker, CI/CD (Jenkins), and a good command of Linux.
• Knowledge of or willingness to work with the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) for application monitoring.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge or willingness to learn Golang.
• Experience with GIS systems, spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS), or processing geospatial data.

• Independently develop and maintain current IoT systems based on PHP 8 and Symfony 7+ while adhering to the highest code quality standards.
• Take full end-to-end ownership of assigned modules, features, and geospatial/IoT data processors.
• Work within a transparent project process based on Kanban boards in Jira.
• Design scalable, distributed microservices architecture using NATS/RabbitMQ.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system stability.
• Actively participate in rewriting and optimizing services into Golang under the guidance of mentors.
• Monitor performance and ensure application reliability using the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir).
