Senior QA Tester

GOG sp. z o.o. is a company focused on the gaming industry, dedicated to game preservation and delivering quality experiences across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. The role is part of the Build Production team reporting to the Publishing Technical Manager.

• Proven experience in software/game testing with a self-driven, proactive approach and strong analytical skills
• Ability to independently handle complex testing tasks, research obscure issues, and manage project risks
• Deep knowledge and experience testing on Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong communication skills
• Capacity to mentor junior staff and lead team roles
• Solid understanding of hardware/software setups, DRM, emulation tools (DOSBox, ScummVM), and automated game build tools
• Demonstrable understanding of Game QA testing concepts
• Active interest in utilizing automation and AI tools to increase efficiency

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems
• Basic understanding of command-line prompts and JSON file structures
• Basic programming skills or willingness to learn Python to assist in automation

• Perform comprehensive functional testing on Windows, macOS, and Linux across games, platform integrations, and tools
• Support and prepare game builds across all supported platforms
• Take full ownership of key testing projects from start to finish
• Log detailed, reproducible bugs in JIRA, verify resolutions, and prepare thorough post-test reports
• Actively research game-related issues to minimize risks
• Manage, test, and troubleshoot cloud saves, platform overlays, and related services
• Set up, maintain, and manage testing environments and hardware configurations
• Conceptually improve workflows and automations, suggest new testing solutions, and lead implementations
• Mentor junior team members and act as a stand-in for the Team Leader/Coordinator when needed
• Ensure team tasks and testing milestones are met on schedule
