Delivery Lead - Global Data Projects

This position is part of the Global Data Platform Program at Circle K, a large global retail organization undergoing a multi-year migration from legacy data platforms to a modern ecosystem based on Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.

• 8–12+ years leading data initiative deliveries in large global organizations using Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Proven ability to build and drive on-time delivery plans with appropriate methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience coordinating multi-region teams in matrix organizations.
• Proficient with enterprise delivery tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Understanding of data migration strategies and enterprise data architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Scrum Master.
• Experience with large-scale data migrations, modernization, or cloud transformations.
• Familiarity with data mesh, federated governance, or modern data product models.

Workstream Leadership & Execution:

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of assigned workstreams in a multi-year data platform migration.
• Translate program objectives into delivery plans, milestones, and dependencies.
• Ensure alignment with migration strategy, architecture standards, and business priorities.
• Drive day-to-day execution and team alignment across time zones.

Delivery Oversight:

• Provide delivery leadership for initiatives using Azure Data Services, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Oversee migration activities including data pipelines, data models, integrations, and consumption layers like Power BI.
• Identify and escalate delivery process gaps or missing standards.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, data governance, and platform teams to ensure quality and alignment.
• Ensure governance checkpoints, metadata, and compliance are incorporated.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with global teams for business readiness and alignment.
• Coordinate with program leadership and technical teams to manage dependencies.
• Facilitate cross-team working sessions and decision forums.

Stakeholder & Communication Management:

• Serve as primary contact for workstream updates, risks, and decisions.
• Communicate progress clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Build relationships across regions to support adoption.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
• Track and mitigate risks and issues impacting timelines or quality.
• Maintain documentation and compliance artifacts.

Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

• Apply and refine delivery methodologies such as Agile and scaled Agile.
• Track delivery metrics for transparency and predictability.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and communication.
• Support change management for adoption of new data capabilities.
