Senior Java Developer

• At least 5+ years of commercial experience as a Java backend developer with hands-on coding.
• Strong programming skills in Java (5+), Spring Boot, and Spring ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Integration).
• Solid relational database skills in PostgreSQL and Oracle, including SQL, JPA/Hibernate, schema migrations, performance tuning, and ability to understand PL/SQL.
• Experience working with legacy codebases including reading, refactoring, and migrating logic.
• Experience building REST APIs and asynchronous integrations using Kafka, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Working knowledge of Azure services (AKS, App Service, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Entra ID) and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong testing discipline covering unit, integration, and contract testing.
• Experience with business-critical, high-availability systems.
• Experience using AI coding assistants or agentic workflows.
• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Databricks for analytics and reporting.

• Design and implement backend services in Java and Spring Boot including domain model, business logic, persistence, and API layers.
• Analyze legacy Java/Spring code and Oracle PL/SQL, re-implement business logic with tests ensuring behavioral parity.
• Build PostgreSQL data layer with schema design, JPA/Hibernate mappings, versioned migrations, and query tuning.
• Implement data migration and reconciliation tooling for Oracle to PostgreSQL transition.
• Develop contract-first, OpenAPI-based REST APIs consumed by operational portals and systems.
• Implement asynchronous integrations and event flows using Azure Service Bus, Kafka, including retries and error handling.
• Deliver data feeds into Databricks in cooperation with data engineers.
• Write automated tests (unit, integration, contract) using JUnit and maintain code production-readiness.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment on Azure environments.
• Build logging, monitoring, and alerting systems; participate in troubleshooting and production readiness.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts/Product Owners on user stories, acceptance criteria, and conduct code reviews.
