Senior Product Engineer - PHP

Lendable is a fintech company building technology to help people get credit and save money. It is one of the UK’s most exciting unicorns, profitable since 2017, with a team over 800 people and backed by investors such as Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. The company has rebuilt major consumer finance products including loans, credit cards, and car finance, and is targeting expansion into the UK and US markets.

• Modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required) with fluency in latest PHP features
• Solid grasp of Symfony or Laravel framework
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing
• Strong automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional testing)
• Desire to collaborate and contribute in a highly collaborative team environment
• High degree of ownership and autonomy
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and financial systems is a bonus
• Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus but not essential

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize cutting-edge lending platforms
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to shape product development
