DevOps Gen AI Platform Support Lead

At Citi, the Technology team supports and redefines finance on a global scale. The team works on deploying enterprise-scale Generative AI platforms and large language models (LLMs), and architects next-generation hybrid cloud infrastructure, engineering mission-critical systems shaping global markets.

• 10–13+ years of technical leadership experience in SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering within enterprise/financial services.
• 5+ years managing distributed and global engineering teams.
• Experience in large-scale cloud migration and platform modernization with executive stakeholder management.
• Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x), Kubernetes internals, CNI, CSI, Operators, Helm, and cluster security/RBAC.
• Proficiency in AWS and GCP cloud operations including VPC networking, IAM, EKS/GKE, and hybrid cloud.
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Practical knowledge of enterprise AI/ML infrastructure, including GenAI platforms, model serving, GPU clusters, and vector databases.
• Experience with modern CI/CD platforms such as Tekton, Harness, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise, and Artifactory.
• Advanced skills in observability and telemetry frameworks including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, and ELK.
• Strong scripting and programming capabilities in Python, Go, Java, and Bash.
• Familiarity with Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL data stores.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CKA, OCP, AWS/GCP Professional, and SRE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field required; Master’s preferred.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to align platform roadmaps with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Drive operational architecture and reliability for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform clusters.
• Oversee public cloud operations on AWS and GCP, including governance, cost optimization, and security.
• Define architectural standards, container security baselines, and integration of service mesh technologies.
• Ensure availability and performance of enterprise AI/GenAI workloads including gateways, inference engines, and vector databases.
• Provide operational support for CI/CD ecosystems (e.g., Tekton, Harness, GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, Artifactory) with automated deployment and zero-downtime upgrades.
• Champion SRE best practices including setting SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, infrastructure-as-code, and automation.
• Implement resilience strategies such as chaos engineering, fault injection testing, and disaster recovery.
• Lead telemetry and observability frameworks deployment using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, ELK, Datadog, and Dynatrace.
• Act as senior technical escalation point for critical platform incidents and lead post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
