Senior C# Developer: Explorers/Identity Resilience

Veeam is the Data and AI Trust Company specializing in data resilience and security posture management. Headquartered in Seattle with offices in more than 30 countries, it protects over 550,000 customers worldwide. The team focuses on two main areas: Veeam Explorers, which provide granular recovery for databases and services via REST and gRPC interfaces, and Active Directory Forest Recovery as part of Identity Resilience.

• 5+ years of commercial C# product development with strong understanding of .NET, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience designing service APIs like REST or gRPC with external consumers and backward compatibility considerations
• Strong skills in async programming and multithreading including cancellation and session lifecycle management for long operations
• Expertise in at least one of the following: Windows Server and Active Directory administration or internals, or database recovery mechanics for SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Ability to work with and refactor a large existing codebase safely
• Proficient in English for daily communication in an international team

• Design and implement end-to-end recovery flows including REST and gRPC contracts, server orchestration, and agent operations
• Develop PowerShell cmdlets with parameter validation and coherent object models
• Design pre-flight validation to catch issues before restore starts across REST, server, and agent layers
• Work closely with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL internals or Active Directory components such as domain controller promotion, SYSVOL, NTDS, DNS, Kerberos, and replication
• Manage long-running distributed sessions including agent deployment, keep-alive, failure cleanup, timeout, and cancellation
• Own and maintain integration test suites
• Refactor and improve a mature existing codebase
