Java Developer with Kafka [M/F]

Development of a platform for real-time cross-border payments for an international financial institution. The system supports multi-currency settlements, integrations with external payment providers, and ensures high availability, security, and scalability for a high volume of transactions. The architecture is microservices-based with asynchronous communication (using Apache Kafka) in a containerized environment (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience as a Java Developer or in a related backend role
• Strong knowledge of Java and practical experience building event-driven systems and asynchronous communication (e.g., Apache Kafka)
• Experience with the Spring framework, especially Spring Boot, for backend and microservices development
• Practical knowledge of database schema design and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience working in containerized environments with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and deployment automation
• Advanced proficiency in English and Polish (minimum B2 level)

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java in a microservices architecture
• Implement functionality based on asynchronous communication and queuing systems like Apache Kafka
• Participate in real-time data processing systems and inter-service integrations
• Enhance existing components to improve application performance, stability, and security
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and architects for requirements analysis and solution design
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews
• Analyze errors, diagnose production issues, and propose improvements in code and system configuration
• Ensure code quality according to accepted standards and best practices
