Java Integration Developer

Avenga is hiring a Java Integration Developer for a hybrid role based in Warszawa. The position involves working on a project transforming the digital business area by creating and developing integration services and APIs within a microservices architecture. The candidate will collaborate with architects, analysts, Product Owners, and project teams while utilizing CI/CD automation and a Kubernetes environment.

Must have:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience with Java, practical work with Java 21+ and Spring Boot (also welcome: Spring Cloud, Hibernate).
• Experience designing and implementing inter-system integrations and APIs using REST, JSON, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, JWT, as well as SOAP and XML.
• Experience building asynchronous integrations using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers.
• Experience with API Management platforms, including publishing and securing APIs.
• Experience developing microservices-based solutions and deploying them in Kubernetes environments.
• Experience working with CI/CD processes, especially with Bamboo or Jenkins, and with Git/Bitbucket repositories; experience in deployment automation and working with Jira.
• Experience creating unit tests and using testing frameworks for Java.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Documented ability to solve problems independently and take technical decisions.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure API Management or equivalent solution.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience using Apache NiFi in integration solutions.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain integration flows and APIs according to requirements and Definition of Done.
• Participate actively in technical decision-making regarding integrations and APIs following architectural standards.
• Ensure quality, security, availability, and performance of delivered solutions, including diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, Product Owners, and project teams to refine requirements and agree on solutions.
• Participate in estimation, work planning, and technical risk analysis.
• Support team members in resolving technical problems and share best practices.
• Regularly participate in code review and contribute to code quality standards and automation of software processes.
