Release Engineer

Isovalent, now part of Cisco, builds open-source software and enterprise solutions for networking, security, and observability in modern cloud native infrastructure. Their flagship technology, Cilium, is widely adopted by global organizations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
• 6+ years of experience in release management or similar role within software development
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and programming/scripting languages such as Golang (preferred) or Python

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong experience and ability to read and debug Golang code
• Certifications in Kubernetes, project management, or related fields
• Solid release management experience for cloud service providers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for diverse team environments

• Manage the end-to-end release process to deliver a unified customer experience
• Coordinate with multi-functional teams to accelerate work and ensure timely releases
• Streamline installation processes to reduce Proof-of-Concept timelines and improve customer satisfaction
• Collaborate closely with development teams to build and maintain reliable software, using GitHub for version control and collaboration
• Implement automation strategies to enhance release efficiency and reliability
• Develop, support, and improve the platform using Golang and Kubernetes
