The Platform Engineering team belongs to the Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) department, which helps organizations securely use end-of-life Linux distributions, programming language runtimes, and frameworks.

Wymagania

  • Senior-level infrastructure/SRE experience with ownership of production services.
  • Linux systems administration on bare metal and virtual machines.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes, including running workloads and clusters, upgrades, and GitOps delivery.
  • Infrastructure as Code knowledge, including Ansible, Terraform, or Terragrunt.
  • Production experience with GitLab CI and CI runners.
  • Experience with Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, and PromQL.
  • Technical writing skills for engineering audiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced use of AI engineering assistants such as Claude and Codex.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

  • Design experience with SLO and burn-rate alerting.
  • Knowledge of MicroVM isolation technologies like Kata Containers, Firecracker, and gVisor.
  • Public cloud experience, including cost optimization.
  • Experience managing self-hosted monitoring systems under load.
  • Programming skills in Python or Go for tooling.
  • GitLab administration experience.

Obowiązki

  • Own the CI/CD and QA platforms end to end, including hardware, infrastructure, CI runners, build and test environments, and developer experience.
  • Be accountable for the platforms' reliability, quality, scalability, and cost.
  • Analyze CI fleet and related services usage data to inform capacity, sizing, and performance decisions.
  • Improve and automate the tools used for building, testing, and shipping software, reducing manual work such as flaky tests.
  • Contribute to platform architecture in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Maintain service health using monitoring and runbooks; write alerts for the company observability tenant.
  • Deploy new services following best practices.
  • Support developer requests and automate recurring tasks into self-service.
  • Manage incidents end-to-end, including diagnosis, mitigation, and post-mortems.
  • Deliver infrastructure as code through merge-request reviews.
  • Write technical documentation for engineers across teams.
  • Work with AI agents by delegating tasks and reviewing their output.
