Go Engineer (remote work)

TuxCare offers a comprehensive portfolio of security solutions for Linux and open-source software designed for enterprise organizations. Their products include automation of vulnerability patching and security for widely used Linux distributions and open-source ecosystems. The role is part of the team behind SecureChain, a new product focused on securing open-source software supply chains by verifying and patching packages continuously.

• Expertise in the Go ecosystem, including modules, GOPROXY, GOSUMDB, toolchain versions, vendoring, and cgo.
• Experience in build and release engineering, including packaging and releasing software, and troubleshooting build failures.
• Proficiency in Python: ability to read, modify, and review automation code.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI is a plus) and Docker builds.
• Strong proficiency with Linux shell and Git workflows.
• Advanced experience using AI coding agents for routine engineering tasks, including creating rules and workflows.
• Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of systems or workstreams with clear communication.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

• Build and operate the automated pipeline that continuously onboards open-source packages into SecureChain.
• Own the Go ecosystem pipeline: rebuild Go modules from verified source code and resolve build failures at scale.
• Develop and maintain AI agents to automate routine engineering tasks and manual steps.
• Contribute as an individual contributor to improve the shared onboarding platform and the Go ecosystem onboarding process.
