[C3I] Data Architect

Software Mind develops solutions for various industries including financial services, telco, media, retail, manufacturing, gaming, and healthcare. The Data & Analytics Global Capability at Software Mind designs, builds, and maintains data and analytics solutions using modern data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks on cloud and hybrid environments.

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, including at least 3 years in an architect role.
• Hands-on expertise in designing and delivering solutions on Snowflake and Databricks (including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark).
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their data services.
• Strong skills in data modeling methods including Kimball, Data Vault, and 3NF.
• Proficient in SQL and knowledgeable in Python.
• Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Azure Data Factory.
• Solid understanding of data security, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Client-facing experience preferably in consulting or IT services with the ability to explain technical trade-offs.
• Very good English language skills (C1 level).

Nice to have:

• Certifications like Snowflake SnowPro Advanced, Databricks, or cloud architect certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming) and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with data catalogs and MDM tools (Unity Catalog, Collibra, Atlan, DataHub).
• Experience with semantic layer and knowledge graphs (dbt Semantic Layer, ontologies, RDF/OWL).
• Domain expertise in BFSI, telco, retail/manufacturing, gaming & betting, healthcare, or media verticals.
• Previous presales or solution consulting experience.

Architecture & Delivery:

• Assess client data landscapes and design target-state architectures aligned with business goals.
• Select technologies based on client needs, with focus on Snowflake and Databricks.
• Design lakehouse, warehouse, and data lake architectures including ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, CDC, streaming, and API integrations.
• Design data models using Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF methodologies.
• Define security measures including IAM, encryption, masking, and row-level security.
• Establish data governance foundations including catalog, metadata, lineage, data quality, and contracts.
• Prepare platforms for advanced analytics, ML, GenAI, and real-time use cases.
• Create reference architectures and reusable patterns for Data & AI offerings.
• Act as a technical authority for delivery teams by reviewing designs and ensuring quality.

Presales & Client Advisory:

• Collaborate with sales and industry teams during technical presales phases.
• Conduct discovery workshops, solution design, estimations, and produce technical proposals.
• Present architectures and recommendations to client stakeholders including C-level executives.
• Design and execute PoCs and technical demos.
• Evaluate new approaches and tools such as data mesh and AI-native platforms and share insights internally and externally.
