Senior SAS Platform Administrator

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system or application platform administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Unix/AIX, and Windows Server.
• Experience administering SAS 9.4 or similar enterprise platforms.
• Knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory.
• Ability to create and maintain scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python, and CMD.
• Experience with log analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting production environments.
• Understanding of system security and access management.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Experience in handling production incidents and performing RCA.
• Ability to independently solve complex technical problems.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience in IT process automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Experience with high availability (HA) environments.

• Administration, maintenance, and development of SAS 9.4 environments (Metadata Server, Object Spawner, Workspace Server, SAS Web Application Server, SPDS).
• Ensuring continuous operation, high availability, and stability of production platforms.
• Administering Linux, Unix/AIX, and Windows Server systems.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing application and infrastructure environment performance.
• Diagnosing, handling, and resolving production incidents and technical problems.
• Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing preventive measures.
• Analyzing system, application, and infrastructure logs.
• Managing user authentication, authorization, and permissions.
• Integrating platforms with LDAP and Active Directory.
• Implementing and maintaining security standards, updates, and system patches.
• Automating administrative and operational processes using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and CMD.
• Creating and developing tools to reduce manual tasks for operations teams.
• Documenting and standardizing maintenance processes.
• Participating in migration, implementation, and modernization projects.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, security, network, cloud teams, and solution providers.
• Supporting business users and project teams regarding SAS platforms.
