• Strong knowledge of Linux systems (Red Hat/CentOS) with experience in maintaining critical 24/7 business applications.
• Experience with administration of Java applications and Apache Tomcat, including diagnosing JVM, memory, thread, and connection pool issues.
• Ability to analyze logs and diagnose performance, system, and integration problems.
• Proficient in Bash, automation basics, and handling batch processes, EOD, and file transfers.
• Understanding of high availability (HA) mechanisms, failover/failback, and clustered environments (active-active, active-passive).
• Knowledge of REST API, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, and network communication basics (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS, certificates); experience with tools such as curl, Postman, or Swagger.
• Basic knowledge of Apache Kafka and card transaction authorization and clearing processes.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management in production environments.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call support and work during service windows.

Nice to have:

• Experience in maintaining card or other financial transaction systems.
• Knowledge of the ISO 8583 standard, Visa and Mastercard organization, and processes including Issuing, Acquiring, Clearing, Settlement, and chargeback.
• Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, or Zabbix.
• Familiarity with messaging and queue systems such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Knowledge in HSM, card cryptography, key management, and PCI DSS standard.
• Experience with application cluster maintenance, failover testing, and resilience checks.
• Familiarity with NetBackup and disaster recovery procedures.

• Administer and maintain the card system supporting Issuing and Clearing processes across test, preproduction, and production environments.
• Ensure continuity of authorization systems and monitor transactions, clearing processes, EOD, and file transfers.
• Handle production incident management, log analysis, and diagnose performance, communication, and integration issues.
• Monitor application availability, APIs, clusters, and high availability and redundancy mechanisms.
• Perform operational tasks, service restarts, and planned and emergency system switchovers.
• Participate in implementation of new features, application updates, and configuration changes with verification of system functionality.
• Maintain integration configurations, endpoints, routing, and certificates; develop monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Create and update technical documentation, operational and emergency procedures; participate in incident root cause analyses (post-mortem).
• Collaborate with business, technical, security, infrastructure teams, and card system suppliers, coordinating reports and preparing diagnostic materials.
