Senior Business Analyst

West Code is hiring experienced Business Analysts for technology projects with banks, investment firms and other financial-services organisations. They focus on technology projects in banking, financial services, and technology transformation.

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Commercial experience in banking, investment banking, fintech or another financial-services environment
• Strong requirements analysis and process-modelling skills
• Experience working closely with IT / engineering teams
• Ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
• Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good English language skills
• Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience in investment banking, capital markets or risk projects
• Experience in core banking, lending, cards or digital banking
• Knowledge of AML / KYC, onboarding or regulatory change
• Experience with data, AI or process-automation initiatives
• Familiarity with API-based systems and complex integrations
• Experience with BPMN, UML or other formal modelling approaches
• Experience with large transformation programmes or international banking organisations

• Gathering and analysing business and functional requirements
• Translating business needs into clear delivery-ready requirements
• Process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessment
• Working with Product Owners, engineering teams, architects, and business stakeholders
• Creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and structured documentation
• Analysing dependencies across systems, processes, and teams
• Supporting solution design and implementation decisions
• Clarifying requirements throughout delivery and supporting UAT / acceptance where required
• Helping maintain alignment between business decisions, documentation, and implementation
