Lead Databricks Solution & Platform Architect

Moondigo sp. z o.o. is seeking an experienced Lead Databricks Solution & Platform Architect responsible for designing and developing a modern data platform based on Databricks and AWS. The role is in Warszawa, focused on a project in the Life Sciences industry.

• Practical experience designing architecture and administering Databricks platform.
• Experience designing and implementing data platforms in AWS cloud environment.
• Deep knowledge of Unity Catalog, data access management, and security.
• Knowledge of IAM, network architecture, cluster policies, and governance mechanisms.
• Practical experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing and implementing DevOps and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of data engineering frameworks and architectural patterns for scalable data processing.
• Ability to combine platform architecture design with data solution design.
• Experience making architectural decisions, conducting technical reviews, and setting standards.
• Ability to collaborate across technological and business areas.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of GxP regulatory requirements and preparing platforms for regulated environments.
• Experience qualifying and validating platforms or data processing in regulated contexts.
• Experience optimizing costs, performance, and reliability of cloud data platforms.

• Design architecture of data platform and solutions based on Databricks in AWS environment.
• Define workspace strategies and environment separations (DEV/TEST/PROD).
• Design network architecture, security mechanisms, and access control.
• Configure and develop data management using Unity Catalog, governance standards, permissions, and data sharing.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Define CI/CD processes and deployment/change management standards.
• Configure monitoring, observability, cost control, and operational mechanisms.
• Design scalable data ingestion, processing, and transformation patterns leveraging Databricks capabilities.
• Ensure platform readiness for production deployments including regulated contexts such as GxP.
• Conduct architectural reviews and make key technology decisions.
• Ensure consistency of architecture and technical standards within project teams.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, infrastructure, data engineering teams and business stakeholders.
