HR Data Product Owner / Business Analyst

Margo is offering a position coordinating the functional delivery of a Databricks data product for the Automated Presence Insights for Managers project, combining Mirakl WiFi, Zoom room booking, and Workday data to provide governed insights for managers.

• Experience as a Tech Product Owner, Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.
• Practical understanding of data privacy and responsible data use with employee or workplace data.
• Ability to identify privacy risks and involve Privacy, Legal, Security, HR, or Data Protection stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of data, data structures, models, sources, pipelines, transformations, and data quality.
• Ability to explain data clearly and validate its meaning with data owners.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure, Workday (HR data), and Power BI.
• Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Proactive and curious mindset with ability to investigate data issues independently.
• Experience with Agile ways of working, Jira, and Confluence.

• Own the end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives, from discovery through requirements, development coordination, validation, stakeholder sign-off, and transition to operations.
• Gather and document business and data requirements.
• Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Understand, analyze, and validate data structure, data sources, transformations, and business rules.
• Validate data quality and output consistency.
• Maintain project and data documentation in Confluence.
• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams by providing clear definitions, data context, and requirements for downstream reporting.
