Director, Software Engineering

• 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 13+ years of experience.
• Experience leading software engineering teams in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Experience developing or implementing web-based or mobile applications.
• Experience in leadership roles with direct reports.
• Experience in requirements gathering, system design, and architecture for complex solutions.
• Experience in agile delivery management and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience in code development, review, and debugging for enterprise applications.
• Experience in test planning, execution, and automation.
• Experience in incident response and resolution.
• Experience in talent management, coaching, and engineering development.

• Monitors throughput across multiple teams and oversees stakeholder partnerships to define user requirements.
• Guides requirements gathering, feedback incorporation, and metrics to assess delivery feasibility.
• Oversees translation of user requirements into system designs aligned with business strategy.
• Leads system architecture discussions and owns design decisions for complex products.
• Manages project and release plans, addressing escalated issues and removing obstacles.
• Develops standards for code quality, security, and maintainability, updating security assessments.
• Shapes best practices for debugging, automation, and code review across products and teams.
• Provides guidance on test planning, prioritization, and ensures expected testing results.
• Leads system monitoring efforts and sets data analysis standards.
• Provides technical expertise to resolve major incidents and shares learnings to prevent recurrence.
• Manages decisions around developer tools, enhancements, and best practices.
• Identifies and develops engineering talent, ensuring team skills support business goals.
