Staff QA Automation Engineer

Meeru AI is building an AI-native platform that transforms how finance and accounting teams operate. They connect to enterprise financial systems — ERPs, CRMs, billing platforms, HRIS — and apply machine learning to turn fragmented operational data into grounded, auditable intelligence for CFOs, controllers, and FP&A leaders. The platform is deployed across SaaS multi-tenant, SaaS single-tenant, and on-premises environments using AWS, Azure, and GCP. Customers include Fortune 500 finance teams requiring data isolation, auditability, and compliance.

• 8+ years in QA and test automation, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Extensive API testing experience (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) with relevant tools.
• Proficient in modern UI testing with Playwright or Cypress on React/Next.js apps.
• Experience testing backend services in Python/FastAPI and PostgreSQL databases.
• Skills in CI/CD integration using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience in performance/load testing using k6, Locust, or JMeter.
• Security testing experience including SAST/DAST tools.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA.
• Cloud experience preferably with AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), GCP, or Azure.
• QA leadership including defining standards, metrics, KPIs, release and regression processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience testing AI/LLM applications, familiarity with LangChain or LangGraph.
• Background in FinTech or financial services.

• Lead and mentor QA engineers, including hiring, 1:1s, and performance reviews.
• Build automation frameworks from scratch covering API, UI, and backend tests.
• Write and maintain test code in Python (PyTest) and TypeScript for frontend.
• Perform deep API testing (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets) using PyTest, Postman, or REST Assured.
• Conduct modern end-to-end UI testing with Playwright or Cypress against React/Next.js apps.
• Test backend Python/FastAPI services and PostgreSQL databases including SQL validation.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Setup deployment quality gates and work with Docker/Kubernetes environments.
• Design performance and load tests using k6, Locust, or JMeter plus front-end checks with Lighthouse.
• Perform security testing including SAST/DAST with tools like SonarQube, Snyk, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite.
• Ensure multi-tenant SaaS platform testing for tenant isolation.
• Support compliance-driven testing for SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams in Agile/Scrum setups, communicating risks clearly.
