Staff QA Automation Engineer

Meeru AI is building an AI-native platform that transforms finance and accounting operations by connecting to enterprise financial systems such as ERPs, CRMs, billing platforms, and HRIS, applying machine learning to convert fragmented data into auditable intelligence. The platform deploys on customer terms using SaaS multi-tenant, SaaS single-tenant, and on-premises models across AWS, Azure, and GCP, serving Fortune 500 finance teams with requirements for data isolation, auditability, and compliance.

• 8+ years in QA and test automation with at least 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript using PyTest and frontend testing frameworks.
• Expertise in API testing including REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
• Experience with end-to-end UI testing of React/Next.js applications.
• Knowledge of backend services testing (Python, FastAPI) and PostgreSQL database validation.
• Experience integrating tests with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Skills in performance/load testing tools: k6, Locust, JMeter.
• Familiarity with security testing tools and methods (SAST/DAST).
• Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS environments and compliance standards (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Cloud platform experience, preferably AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to define QA standards, metrics, and runbooks, and communicate quality clearly.

• Experience testing AI/LLM applications and familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph.
• Background in FinTech or financial services.
• Startup experience.
• Observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or New Relic.
• Chaos engineering and resilience testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Jira.
• Certifications: ISTQB Advanced, AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect.

• Lead QA team management including hiring, 1:1s, performance reviews, and mentoring.
• Build automation frameworks from scratch covering API, UI, and backend testing.
• Conduct deep API testing including REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets using tools like PyTest, Postman, and REST Assured.
• Perform modern end-to-end UI testing with Playwright or Cypress against React/Next.js apps.
• Execute backend and database testing for Python/FastAPI services and PostgreSQL using SQLAlchemy.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI with Docker/Kubernetes environments.
• Design performance and load tests using k6, Locust, or JMeter, and front-end checks with Lighthouse.
• Implement security testing using SAST/DAST tools like SonarQube, Snyk, OWASP ZAP, and Burp Suite.
• Ensure multi-tenant SaaS platform data isolation and compliance-driven testing for SOC 2, GDPR or HIPAA.
• Define QA standards, metrics, KPIs, release procedures, and communicate quality reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum setup, explaining risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
