Innovation Project Team Manager (f/m)

Corning Optical Communications Polska is a global leader in optical fiber, cable, hardware, and equipment manufacturing. The Optical Communications segment provides leading optical solutions for carrier and enterprise network products enabling video, data, and voice communication infrastructures.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in Product Development, Project Management, or Engineering Leadership.
• Ability to teach project leadership skills including communication, planning, budgeting, ownership, team building, business acumen, risk management, critical decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills under stress.
• Effective communication in Polish and English with global teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally (primarily to US, Mexico, Germany).

Nice to have:

• Experience with manufacturing processes related to passive optical products including assembly, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and optical fiber termination.
• Knowledge of passive telecommunication and data center product design, application, testing, and industry standards.
• Advanced degree (MS, MBA) or Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience working in a global organization.

• Prioritize and assign projects to meet business objectives.
• Manage team performance, recognizing excellence and addressing issues.
• Coach and develop project leaders in project management, leadership, OCS systems, team building, and change management.
• Ensure project plans and statuses are communicated organization-wide.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Complete reporting and record-keeping to protect intellectual property and maintain ISO registrations.
• Facilitate the PPW process for project evaluation and corrective actions.
• Recruit, select, and onboard new project leaders.
• Lead regular project reviews with senior OCS leadership.
• Identify and lead project management process improvement teams.
• Build a cross-functional network including Research, Technology, Manufacturing, PLM, and Commercial teams.
