Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

NFQ is a core technology partner for HomeToGo, a SaaS-enabled marketplace listing millions of vacation rentals worldwide. Founded in 2014, HomeToGo operates apps and websites in over 30 countries across multiple continents and includes brands such as Agriturismo.it, AMIVAC, Interhome, Smoobu, Casamundo, EscapadaRural, Kurzurlaub, Tripping.com, and Wimdu.

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in PHP and Symfony
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems
• Solid knowledge of relational databases
• Experience designing APIs and integrating with third-party systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools as user and engineer building AI-driven solutions
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Strong collaboration skills and continuous learning mindset
• Comfort working directly with business stakeholders

• Take end-to-end ownership of features from refinement to production, including engineering decisions on larger topics
• Design and build entire applications ensuring scalability, reliability, and usability of Marketplace products
• Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones, and iterate based on performance
• Contribute to technical and architectural standards company-wide
• Mentor teammates and participate in hiring processes
• Work with technologies including PHP, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, SQS, Kubernetes, and AWS
