Automation Engineer

• 5+ years programming experience with systems and applications of varying scope and complexity, preferably in finance and supply chain business processes.
• Experience with technologies including Python, PySpark, TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Bachelor's degree in business/management information systems, computer science, or related field.
• Ability to work independently and in groups, sometimes as lead technical participant.
• Capability to take on complex assignments and greater responsibilities.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience building system interactions through APIs, preferably with SAP.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Fabric (including PySpark notebooks, Delta Lake/OneLake), PowerBI, and SharePoint Online.

Desirable Experience:

• Exposure to Generative AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
• Experience analyzing, debugging, and refactoring legacy code.
• Application of statistical concepts and data-quality or anomaly-detection techniques to business data.

• Design and build end-to-end automation solutions working across the full stack platform.
• Partner with analyst team to review business opportunities and assess solution feasibility.
• Participate in interviews, meetings, or workshops to define, design, and configure solutions.
• Use technology to solve problems related to business strategy, organization, procedures, and performance and present findings.
• Analyze and interpret information and make recommendations to business partners and analysts.
• Develop solutions following team standards and best practices.
• Create architecture and design documents as part of development.
• Create and document test procedures and scenarios before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Conduct validations with team and business during project development.
• Support business teams in testing activities including integration, end-to-end, and UAT.
• Support Business As Usual (BAU) team in troubleshooting automation processes.
• Participate in problem identification/error resolution including tracking, repairing, and reporting defects.
• Communicate identified risks and issues to leadership and provide inputs to mitigate.
• Support QA, audit, and platform migration activities as needed.
