Senior IT Developer (Backend Developer)

Nordea Bank ABP is a major Nordic bank with a 200-year history, committed to supporting and growing the Nordic economies. The team focuses on developing Investment Funds trading systems integrated with external Trading Agencies partners, specifically for Savings and Investment Product & Retail Order Management Technology Service Domain.

• Strong proficiency in Java 21 and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, Snowflake)
• Knowledge of messaging protocols such as Kafka, JMS, IBM MQ
• Familiarity with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI for data production and consumption
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles
• Good communication skills with proficiency in English
• Knowledge of Airflow and experience with Python is ideal

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications supporting savings and investment products
• Build robust calculation engines ensuring compliance with tax regulations across multiple countries
• Develop support for complex business processes, integrating with tax authorities and generating customer-facing reports
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with financial analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
