Junior Software Developer - Cloud Native / Java

• Completed or near completion of studies in (business) computer science, mathematics, physics, or comparable courses
• Initial experience with Java and development environments such as Maven, Git/Subversion, and Jenkins
• Familiarity with concepts such as DevOps, continuous delivery, clean code, TDD, and agile methods
• Knowledge of technologies: Java, Microprofile, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgresql, Kafka, Jmeter, Rest Services, Quarkus
• Experience with platform and hosting: AWS (EKS, RDS, MSK, Redis, EC2, Secret Manager)
• Experience with OS: Linux any distro
• Experience with Agile development methodology
• Experience with project management tools: Jira, Confluence
• Analytical and solution-oriented thinking
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Very good communication skills in English; German is a plus but not mandatory
• Open to hybrid work with weekly visits to the Katowice office

• Work on the development of modern open source frameworks and tools including J2E, microservices, Docker, SQL, Kubernetes (OpenShift is a plus), Maven, and reverse proxy technologies such as Apache and Nginx
• Support the design of new innovative features collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders
• Proactively support the implementation and further development of standards
• Create technical concepts and documentation
• Stay up to date on new technological developments and best practices
