Senior GoLang Developer

Wakacje.pl is an e-commerce platform and a network of travel agencies offering a wide range of travel products. Since 2015, it has been part of Wirtualna Polska Holding, Poland's largest group of media and e-commerce companies. Together with Travelplanet.pl and the Invia brands across CEE, they are building a unified travel group driven by a shared #TravelMindset.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Go (Golang)
• Proven experience in designing and building distributed systems and microservices
• Strong understanding of various architectural patterns (e.g., Hexagonal, Clean Architecture)
• Proficiency with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and gRPC
• Familiarity with the Gin Framework
• Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis
• English proficiency at a B2+ level (communicative)

Nice to have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of message brokers: Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Observability tools: Kibana, Grafana, Sentry
• Practical understanding of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Track record of process optimization and improving development workflows

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance Go-based applications for internal and external clients
• Ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code through strict reviews and best practices
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, optimizing existing solutions and overall application performance
• Act as a technical mentor for the team, supporting the Leader in creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and guiding developers through architectural changes
• Propose new ideas and select appropriate technologies to solve complex business problems
• Work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver value
• Ensure reliability by creating comprehensive unit and integration tests
