Senior DevOps Engineer (Golang)

Jit Team is a Polish company employing over 700 experienced experts, creating highly specialised teams for clients worldwide. They support educational and charitable activities and have over 15 years of activity. The client is a global, renowned company offering products for athletes and beyond, collaborating on solutions for the EMEA region and AI/ML and cloud platforms in a global setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong software engineering skills with Golang
• Solid DevOps knowledge, including AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes architecture
• Proficiency in reading and navigating existing Java codebases
• Hands‑on experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Excellent team collaboration skills and a good command of English
• Readiness to participate in a weekly on-call rotation
• BS with a degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to have:

• Hands‑on experience with operators
• Familiarity with streaming technologies and Apache Kafka or similar tools like SQS
• Knowledge of event‑driven architecture and distributed system design patterns
• Familiarity with observability tooling
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Understanding of security best practices, including IAM, network policies, and secret management
• Ability to commute to Gdańsk office 2 days per week
• Education alternatives accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs

• Design, build, and maintain core components of Nike’s Streaming Platform
• Develop scalable, resilient services that power real‑time data pipelines and streaming applications
• Collaborate with Product, platform teams, and internal engineering customers to deliver high‑quality platform capabilities
• Support engineering teams using the platform, providing guidance, best practices, and technical troubleshooting
• Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence
• Contribute to platform reliability through on‑call participation, incident analysis, and continuous improvement
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure
• Drive adoption of streaming and event‑driven architectures across the organization
• Document designs, operational runbooks, and architectural decisions
