GCP Data ETL Engineer

GFT Poland is a stable company with 32 years on the market, working on demanding and challenging projects for the biggest financial institutions worldwide. The team focuses on accelerating the development of data tooling to digitize the collection, enrichment, and visualization of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), with a strong focus on trading controls and risk reporting. They have integrated multiple trusted data sources into a BigQuery-based data warehouse on Google Cloud, delivering reliable insights and supporting automated risk governance reporting through standardized dashboards and visualizations.

• Commercial experience as a Data Engineer / ELT Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (especially BigQuery)
• Experience building and optimizing ELT/ETL pipelines
• Good knowledge of SQL and data modeling
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with JIRA and collaborative delivery workflows
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Very good English (spoken and written)

Nice to have:

• Experience in financial services or risk/reporting environments
• Knowledge of data visualization/reporting solutions
• Understanding of governance and data quality frameworks

• Designing and developing ELT pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
• Integrating and transforming data from multiple trusted sources into BigQuery
• Delivering work packages and JIRA tasks within an agile framework
• Collaborating closely with internal data and engineering teams
• Participating in agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, code reviews)
• Ensuring data quality, performance, and scalability of solutions
• Supporting the development of data models that enable analytics and reporting
• Contributing to dashboards and visualization data layers
