Software Engineer III, Agent Development Kit

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. The role involves working on projects critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects. The position is part of a team developing core technology that is open-sourced on a code hosting platform to support Google and external developers globally. The Google Cloud AI Research team focuses on AI challenges across various industries, aiming to advance AI research and collaborate with product teams to deliver real-world impact.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience using Go or Java.
• Experience using Generative AI Agent.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

• Build applications for enterprise needs, including AI safety, data residency, integration with existing systems, and return on investment.
• Be familiar with AI, machine learning, large language models (LLMs), or AI agents.
• Understand the unique needs of Cloud customers and bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world use cases outside of Google.
