Android Developer

We are looking for a Mobile Developer to support a project in the Advertising domain for one of Poland’s leading e-commerce platforms. The engineer will work within a team responsible for the technological layer of ad delivery in a large-scale mobile application. The client dominates the Polish e-commerce arena as the market leader since 1999, with a user base of over 20 million and a talented IT team of over 1,000 employees developing their own technologies.

• Over 3 years of commercial experience in native Android development (Kotlin).
• Deep understanding of mobile application architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Practical experience with Android WebView, including native-to-web communication (e.g., JavascriptInterface, invoking JS from native code).
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and basic web technologies (HTML/CSS) for effective integration and debugging of web-based ad content.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and efficient data processing.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and passion for creating excellent user experiences (UX).

Nice to have:

• Experience with high-traffic mobile applications.
• Knowledge of reactive programming (e.g., RxJava/RxKotlin, Combine).
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Integration and development of advertising components: implementation of new ad formats (e.g., video, display, native ads) directly in the main Allegro app.
• Video Ad Stack support: optimization of video ad playback, ensuring smooth transitions and correct triggering of tracking events.
• Cross-team collaboration: close cooperation with Core Mobile teams in Allegro to ensure app architecture consistency and high standards of security and performance.
• Privacy management (Compliance): implementation and maintenance of data privacy solutions such as GDPR banners (CMP) and adaptation to system changes.
• Debugging complex cases: analysis and resolution of issues at the intersection of native app code and external ad libraries (SDK) and web creatives.
• Frontend/Backend support: active participation in designing solutions requiring communication between the mobile app and Allegro advertising systems.
