Kotlin Developer

Verita HR is an international company providing recruitment support within the Fintech, Finance and Banking market in EMEA. The project focuses on building a platform that helps control owners and engineering teams clearly see, manage, and track their compliance with software development standards in one place. The platform is built around a microservice architecture and emphasises clean code, well designed APIs and modern engineering practices used in real production systems.

• Experience in Kotlin (or Java with willingness to learn Kotlin)
• Experience in at least two or three of the following: API development, SQL/databases, HTML/JavaScript
• Strong technical and analytical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with Agile including the use of Jira and Confluence
• Understanding of microservices

Nice to have:

• Good working knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience building out CI toolchains using Jenkins CI/CD
• Background in Systems Administration across Linux/AIX/WAS platforms

• Work closely with developers, testers, and teams across the organisation to build, run, and improve products in production
• Design, develop, and deliver both backend and lightweight frontend features based on the backlog and priorities
• Partner with the engineering team to shape, build, and release new features from idea to production
• Engage directly with users and stakeholders to solve real problems, handle issues, and respond to feature requests
• Build APIs and microservices that address concrete business needs and have visible impact
• Deliver frequent, reliable releases in an agile CI/CD setup, keeping a steady and sustainable development pace
