Software Engineer III, Google Kubernetes Engine, Firewall

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields preferred.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building or maintaining large-scale distributed systems handling errors, scalability, and performance bottlenecks.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, or Rust.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or containerized environments (e.g., Control Plane, API Server, or Kubelet).
• Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and highly concurrent code.

• Build sophisticated virtualization solutions for containers powering Megaclusters and high-demand AI/ML training environments.
• Act as a technical hero for largest external customers by diagnosing and solving complex production cluster networking issues.
• Engage with the Kubernetes Open Source community to influence networking and security direction.
• Design and implement features defining traffic flow through Kubernetes.
• Ensure Google Kubernetes Engine maintains high performance and security as a cloud-native platform.
