Software Engineer III, GKE Networking

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's cutting-edge technology to help organizations digitally transform their business. The role involves working on Kubernetes Networking architecture and ecosystem, including technologies like eBPF and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience with Go.
• Experience with Linux networking stack.
• Experience with networking solutions, data plane and control plane elements.
• Experience with one or more virtualization technologies.
• Experience with technologies such as DNS, IPv6, eBPF, load balancing or network security.

• Design and implement new networking features in the Kubernetes and GKE area.
• Design and develop network virtualization solutions for containers.
• Help external GKE customers who hit issues in production clusters.
• Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
