Senior Data Engineer

Jit Team is a Polish company employing over 700 experienced experts, creating highly specialised teams for clients worldwide. They have a long-term partnership with a leading financial group in the Nordic countries, with over 200 personnel engaged in more than 60 projects for this Norwegian financial services provider. The client emphasizes Scandinavian culture, work-life balance, and international teams with daily English language use.

• Proven work experience with minimum 5+ years in a similar role
• Minimum 3+ years experience in IT Service Management data integrations (BMC Helix preferred)
• Experience with Data Warehousing, data storage, data security, code version controlling, and ETL (SSIS, Snowflake)
• Professional experience in SQL (T-SQL preferred), Python, and Apache Airflow
• Proficiency in CI/CD (Bamboo/Jenkins)
• Experience working with data from MS SQL Server, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Dataverse
• Lean-Agile trained or certified (Scrum or SAFe)
• Master's degree in Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
• Fluency in English (C1 level at least)

Nice to have:

• ITIL Foundation certified or proven work experience in IT Service Management

• Designing and building a stable, scalable, near real-time and reliable BMC Helix data replication solution
• Building, designing, and maintaining data architecture ensuring complete collection and quality of data while adhering to best data practices
• Designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines
• Troubleshooting and innovating
• Working within SAFe Scrum Team with aligned autonomy
• Acting as a subject matter expert and making recommendations to IT and business stakeholders
• Planning individual competence and skills development with manager and feedback from colleagues and stakeholders

Preferred working location is Gdańsk, with Warsaw allowed. At least 3 days per week working from the office in Gdańsk or Warsaw and at least once a month meeting in Gdańsk for team workshops lasting 2-3 days. This arrangement may change towards more office work.
