Search Platform Engineer- remote

Our Client dominates the Polish e-commerce arena as the market leader since 1999, with a user base of over 20 million. The client has a talented IT team of over 1,000 employees focusing on developing their own technologies. Jit Team has partnered with the client since spring 2021, providing multiple autonomous software development teams designing platform components through micro-services.

• Experience working with VTEX (VTEX IO / APIs / integrations)
• Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Experience in building data connectors or integration systems
• Understanding of data modeling (JSON, event schemas, mapping)
• Basic knowledge of search systems (enterprise search, indexing)
• Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript or Node.js
• Experience working with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
• Experience working in Agile environments

• Design and implement data connectors between VTEX and enterprise search platforms
• Integrate VTEX with a Google-based search layer (Cloud Search / AI Search layer)
• Extract, transform, and normalize data (products, categories, content, metadata)
• Build and maintain data synchronization pipelines (batch and near real-time)
• Collaborate with teams responsible for intranet and source systems
• Define data models and indexing schemas tailored for search use cases
• Optimize data quality for search relevance, ranking, and filtering
• Monitor connector performance and handle production incidents
• Contribute to the design of integration architecture (API-first, event-driven)
