Senior Software Developer SAP ABAP for HANA (f/m)

As a senior developer, primary responsibility is to design, build, test and deploy functionalities in Bosch Product Backbone (BOP), an application used by all divisions of Bosch worldwide. One component is the System Independent Material master (SIMAT), a golden record calculated with complex rules in AMDP and CDS using S4/HANA core functionalities.

• 9+ years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4 HANA, AMDPs, and CDS views
• Programming languages and skills: ABAP (other languages of advantage), UML/TOGAF
• ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
• Knowledge of database features of HANA 2.0 (SAP S4HANA ON PREMISE Foundation Release 2023 FPS 01 (02/2024))
• Business modeling rule framework (BRF+)
• Good knowledge in technical areas like CDS Views, AMDP, OOPs concept, Web services, ADBC concepts, RFC, and FPM
• Workflow Management
• Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• MDM processes in Material master including connected objects (Material classification, Document info records, Engineering Change Master, Bill of Material & Purchase info records)

Nice to have:

• Practical knowledge of Clean Code and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Advanced knowledge of DevOps, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience in a client-facing or technical consulting role

• Use long experience in SAP S/4 HANA development to develop code for group-level processes in large companies
• Understand business needs and design and implement requirements in SAP ABAP, BRF+, AMDP, and CDS views
• Analyze and evaluate requirements for application enhancement with customers and senior architects to validate completeness from implementation perspective
• Solve business issues by analyzing existing code and proposing solutions using SAP S/4 HANA Services
• Prepare technical design documents for unit testing and integration support; ensure quality reviews (unit tests) are conducted
• Drive quality and standards in the software engineering community by providing and discussing innovative solution approaches and suggestions for improvement
• Work closely with Architects and IT Functional Consultants to ensure successful completion of User Stories within committed timeframe
• Represent and argue technical and implementation decisions to architects and customers
• Develop application specifications, associated code, and prepare technical design documents for unit testing and integration support
• Write end user documents, document using UML/TOGAF in Sparx Enterprise Architect, and train end users to operate new or modified programs
• Provide 3rd Level Support within own component for defects not found in quality assurance but occurring in production system
