Senior Java Developer | Branża Ubezpieczeniowa

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a developer
• Very good knowledge of Java and Python, object-oriented programming, and clean code principles
• Experience designing and building IT systems
• Practical knowledge of Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Elasticsearch, Hive, Flink
• Experience creating microservices and REST APIs
• Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo or Jenkins
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Experience working in Agile Scrum methodology and participating in team ceremonies
• Experience in code review and maintaining code quality and automated tests

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or HBase
• Familiarity with IntelliJ IDEA or PyCharm and Git
• English language skills sufficient to read technical documentation

System development and architecture:

• Build and develop systems in microservices and monolithic architecture for life insurance systems
• Decompose monolith into domains and microservices using Domain Driven Design
• Participate in system architecture design using Kafka and Kubernetes

Process improvement:

• Improve and automate business processes

Quality assurance:

• Develop and maintain automated tests according to the test pyramid
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high software quality

Team collaboration:

• Actively participate in Scrum team ceremonies

Work mode is hybrid with 3 days per week at the client's office in Warsaw.
