Technical Operations Manager, Third Party Data Center (English)

The role is within Google's Facilities Management team, focusing on overseeing daily operations of third-party data centers. The team supports site selection, sustains and improves vendor-operated data centers, and mitigates risks. The position involves collaboration with Google Data Center Engineering, Hardware Operations, Network Infrastructure, and third-party vendors to ensure operability, maintainability, and reliability of data center infrastructure. The AI and Infrastructure team supports Google's AI models, cloud services, and global networking.

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in critical facility operation management.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently to support stakeholder relationships.
• Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure.
• Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment.
• Experience with operations and people management.
• Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-motivated method.
• Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Own third-party data centers operation within an area/region with full accountability for this area.
• Support site selection process through operational and technical knowledge.
• Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party data centers sites.
• Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them.
• Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy for smaller local groups.
