Software Engineer III, Backend

Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's cutting-edge technology to help developers build sustainably. The role involves building a next-generation platform for seamless security mechanisms and enabling AI agents to operate production on behalf of Site Reliability Engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go or Java, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in networking, distributed systems, lower level infrastructure.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in managing production systems or reliability.
• Experience with AI agents.

• Implement features and bug fixes for the Zamm platform, including the web interface/Chrome Extension, and back-end services.
• Write, test, and review code to ensure it is well-factored, maintainable, and adheres to Google's coding standards and Zamm team's best practices.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve technical problems within the Zamm codebase and infrastructure to ensure service reliability.
• Learn about the systems and security models underpinning Zamm, and its use in isolated and low dependency environments.
• Partner effectively with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
