6G Junior Software Developer (C++)

The Simulation Services (SIMS) unit is part of Engineering Services and Experience (ESE) within Engineering Unit RAN Software & Compute Platforms (RCE). SIMS provides simulators for product development in Business Area Networks, used in product verification instead of real mobile phones and core networks. The team in Krakow will develop a powerful UE Simulator for 6G and later be the core team for its actual development.

• MSc or BSc level (or last semesters) in Telecommunications, Electronics, or IT
• Entry level knowledge of embedded programming, ideally in telecom
• Proven software engineering skills with ability to write high-quality code (e.g. C++, Python) and knowledge in DPDK
• Knowledge of multithreading and parallel processing
• Understanding of L2 Protocols such as Medium Access Control (MAC), Logical Link Control (LLC), and Radio Link Control (RLC) is a plus
• Good speaking and writing skills in English

• Be part of an agile team contributing to Layer 2 development of a UE Simulator
• Work in a technical area supporting Ericsson internal users with a product for 6G
• Drive innovation and implement new insights
• Participate in analysis, system design, pre-development, and incremental implementation with short feedback loops

Work in hybrid model, minimum 3 days from office in Krakow, Poland.
